Our story
Ride the Cov was created in 2017 by a group of passionate volunteers who simply wanted to highlight everyday riders in the City of Covington. Since its launch, Ride the Cov has grown into a larger membership organization with a Steering Committee and several teams of dedicated volunteers. The mission of Ride the Cov is to establish Covington as a bike-friendly place to live, work, and play. We work to further our mission with the following Goals and Values in mind:
OUR Goals
Promote positive bike culture and make bicycling a safer form of transportation
Work with the City (and other partners) to create bike-dedicated spaces throughout the city
Increase the number of people using bikes for transportation in Covington
OUR Values
Safety
Promote safe streets through new and improved infrastructure and education initiatives
Community
Build community by connecting people to the places that are important to them
Equity
Commit to a collaborative and inclusive process that actively engages underserved populations & neighborhoods
Our Leadership
